How to grow fenugreek or methi in container pots for life long happiness free of sugar or diabetes problems:

Starting with this famous quote of Mahatma Gandhi "A nations culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people". India is a sweet loving country with sweets made specifically for Indian festivals like Diwali, Navaratri, Makar Sankranti or be it the Maha Kumbh Mela festival at the Triveni sangam of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. There are variety of sweets ranging from methi ladoo's, kaju katli, kalakand, jalebi, gulab jamun, kheer, rabri, ras malai and many more. Like India, sweets are enjoyed by people around the world like Americans enjoy different types of pies, Italians like tiramisu, middle eastern baklava is very famous and British like enjoying tea with cookies. With stress all around us in the current world, sugar is first place where people run towards. High sugar consumption consistently can cause high blood sugar and lead towards diabetes. Fenugreek or methi is bitter in taste and is very good for health, especially for people who are diabetic or have high blood sugar problems. If eaten regularly in some form or the other, it can reduce these problems to good extent and keep them well in control.

Fenugreek or Methi is very widely used in cooking Indian and in some mediterranean dishes. Dried methi leaves are called kasuri methi, this is used often in Indian cooking. Fresh methi leaves, methi powder or methi seeds can be used along with other Indian spices for cooking different recipes like Dal methi, Aloo methi subzi, methi mattar malai, chole/chickpeas masala with methi, tomato omelet with methi or methi powder, dosa or masala methi dosa, methi thepla or methi paratha. Methi can also be used in sweets itself like methi ladoos or others which can add health along with celebration of festivals. Methi can be used for making vegetable patties with methi mixed into it for giving flavor to the patte. It can also be used in American dishes like vegetarian pasta with fresh fenugreek leaves or even dried leaves(kasuri methi) to give flavor to the pasta or it can be used to make healthy vegetarian burgers with sprouted fenugreek or fenugreek leaves into it or  middle eastern dishes like fenugreek with hummus.

Methi seeds that are soaked into warm water overnight and consumed are very healthy for high sugar and diabetes patients. The same water can be used for your daily cooking and also for your plants.

Grow methi in pot:

Growing Fenugreek or methi in your container garden is very simple and easy to grow. You can grow fenugreek or methi in containers/pots be it a ceramic container or plastic container, choose the right container and right size.
